Siarc Cares: Being a Small Part of Something Bigger

At Siarc Oil, we often say that reliable energy starts here. But we also believe something else starts here—compassion.

That's the heart behind Siarc Cares, our commitment to supporting the communities that have supported us for more than 80 years.

Throughout the year, Siarc Cares has the privilege of partnering with a variety of organizations that make a difference in our communities. One of the opportunities that has been especially meaningful to me is participating in the Angels' Place Annual School Supply Drive.

While our contribution may only be a small part of this incredible community effort, it means so much to know we're helping children begin the school year with the supplies they need and giving families one less thing to worry about.

Angels' Place is a remarkable nonprofit organization in Metairie that provides respite care, family support services, and resources for families of children with life-threatening illnesses. Their mission is to offer hope, encouragement, and practical assistance to families navigating some of life's most difficult journeys. The annual school supply drive is just one of the many ways they help children feel prepared, confident, and ready for a new school year.

One of my favorite things about Siarc Oil is the heart of our owners.

Their desire to give back isn't driven by recognition—it's simply who they are. They genuinely believe that successful businesses have a responsibility to strengthen the communities they serve. Whether supporting local nonprofits, helping neighbors during difficult times, or quietly meeting needs behind the scenes, their generosity inspires everyone around them.

Working for a company that values people just as much as performance is something I'll never take for granted. It reminds me that every business has an opportunity to make an impact far beyond the products or services it provides.

This school supply drive is about much more than backpacks, notebooks, and pencils.

It's about giving children confidence on the first day of school.

It's about easing the burden on parents and caregivers.

It's about reminding families that they are surrounded by a community that cares.

I'm grateful that Siarc Oil chooses to invest in organizations like Angels' Place, and I'm thankful to play even a small role in that mission. Moments like these remind me that kindness has a ripple effect, and when businesses come together with organizations that are changing lives, amazing things can happen.

That's what Siarc Cares is all about.

If you're looking for a meaningful way to make a difference, I encourage you to support Angels' Place. Whether you can volunteer your time, donate school supplies, or make a financial contribution, every gift helps provide hope and practical support to children and families when they need it most.
